Why buckwheat hulls?

Materials

Comfort with buckwheat hulls

Buckwheat hulls have been used as a natural filling for cushions, pillows, and mattresses across Asia for centuries and for a good reason. Unlike conventional cushion fillings, buckwheat hulls offer ergonomic support by allowing air to circulate freely, adapting perfectly to the contours of your body. This makes our meditation cushions ideal for maintaining stability and comfort during long meditation sessions.

Additionally, buckwheat hulls are known for their temperature-neutrality, ensuring your cushion remains cool during summer and warm in winter, making them perfect for year-round use.

Sustainable and Hypoallergenic

Beyond comfort, buckwheat hulls are organic, long-lasting, and hypoallergenic. We’re proud to source our buckwheat from local organic grain farms, minimizing the environmental impact and ensuring the highest quality. Eco-friendly and responsible approach reduces carbon emissions from transportation while supporting sustainable farming.

Easy maintenance

Our meditation cushion materials are 100% animal-friendly and easy to care for. Outside cover is easy removable, so to maintain your cushion, simply follow these instructions:

  • Washing: Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C. For best results, turn the cover inside out before washing. If you prefer dry cleaning, that’s also an option.
  • Drying: Air dry your cushion cover to keep it in the best condition. Avoid tumble drying, and always dry inside out for added protection.

To keep your cushion in optimal condition, store it in a dry area when not in use. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as this may cause the fabric to fade and the hulls to deteriorate.

For any of our limited edition collections, specific care instructions can be found in their individual listings.
